Wake Radiology | Social Media Campaign

When long-time client, Wake Radiology, approached us with the idea of expanding their social media strategy by running a month-long campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we jumped at the opportunity and allowed our creative juices to flow. Breast Cancer Awareness Month – occurring every October – is one of the busiest times of the year for Wake Radiology, as many women choose to attend their annual mammogram during this time.

Prior to October 2015, Nutmegger PR had been responsible for the community management of Wake Radiology’s Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & Glassdoor profiles, including the production, scheduling and posting of content, as well as maintaining strict brand and reputation management practices.

For this campaign, we created infographics to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the importance of early detection mammography and Male Breast Cancer Awareness Week, as well as Wake Radiology’s services and history of providing premier medical imaging services to the Triangle area of North Carolina. In addition to these graphic elements, we also managed a photo contest encouraging patients to submit selfies to help raise awareness and encourage others to take proactive measures in the prevention of breast cancer and optimized call-to-action tools within social media to drive traffic to Wake Radiology’s website where prospective patients could then learn more about Wake Radiology’s services and schedule appointments.

This campaign – which was conducted without any paid promotion – saw Wake Radiology’s social media communities grow by approximately 25%, increased engagement levels by nearly 60% and increased their reach by nearly 300%.
